Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will leverage your expertise in actuarial and financial analytics to support strategic decision-making, provide insightful business analysis, and help create business value. This role will focus on monitoring financial performance, enhancing budgeting processes, collaborating with various business functions, and providing key performance indicators (KPIs) for ongoing and future projects.

The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of actuarial experience within the insurance industry, with a deep understanding of IFRS17, financial planning, and business analytics. You will also play a key role in developing finance strategy, overseeing the strategic portfolio, and driving financial transparency across the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

Financial Planning

  • Lead financial projection for Strategic Plan exercise and provide value-added insights to optimize business value.
  • Lead finance strategy development and budgeting process.
  • Establish a robust control procedure in the financial projection for strategic plan and revised budget process

Analytics & Business Partnership

  • Work closely with teams across various business functions and regional offices to ensure alignment of financial planning, analytics, and strategy with business objectives.
  • Perform thorough business analysis and communicate key insights to guide strategic decision-making and value creation across business functions.
  • To support group / regional / local reporting of company KPIs, including periodic business review and support other business units on data analytics and reporting, with the practice of single source of truth of data with adequate data sharing between business functions.

Actuarial & Financial Planning

  • Leverage actuarial and financial planning expertise to support the company’s financial health and long-term sustainability, including performing regular IFRS17 assumption reviews and experience studies.

Jobs Requirements:

  • Candidate with degree in Actuarial Science or equivalent University degree with good progress of actuarial professional papers.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of actuarial experience in insurance industry.
  • Good understanding of insurance products and Malaysia marketplace conditions.
  • Good understanding of IFRS17 financial reporting standard is not required but it will be an added advantage
