Accounting Manager

Tasks & Responsibilities:

1. Supervise the AR, AP, GL and Inventory team members and accountable for overall accounting, oversee daily operations and handle month end closing
2. Prepare accurate monthly financial reports by business divisions with the ability to analyze variances and fluctuations
3. Recommend, implement, check and monitor accounting procedure and control, investigate, reconcile and resolve accounting discrepancies
4. Manage the year-end audit process and work with external auditors to ensure compliance with auditing standards
5. Ensure proper maintenance of the company's financial records in accordance with accounting standards and company policies
6. Ensure compliance with all statutory reporting, filing, and other requirements, including corporate tax and other statutory bodies, while reconciling accounts
7. Maintain a thorough knowledge of the taxation laws to apply them to varying tax situations. In consultation with tax agents, carries out tax planning to optimize the company's tax liabilities or incentives
8. Perform any other related duties or ad-hoc assignments as and when required by the Management

Job Requirements:

1. Graduate with a Diploma or Degree in finance/accounting
2. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting
3. Proficient in SQL and other accounting software would be advantageous
4. Working experience in audit and tax would be an added advantage
5. Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
6. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, analytical and problem-solving skills
7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
