About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Tax Expert to lead client portfolios and provide high-level tax advisory and compliance services. You will play a key role in interpreting tax legislation, managing advisory projects, and delivering technical guidance to clients and internal teams across various industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of clients and oversee the delivery of corporate tax planning, advisory, and audit support.

  • Conduct technical tax research and prepare insights, circulars, and advisory notes on developments in tax law (Income Tax, SST, RPGT, etc.).

  • Support and review presentation materials for tax training sessions and webinars.

  • Provide technical guidance to internal teams and assist in resolving complex tax issues.

  • Liaise with LHDN and RMCD on client matters including audits, investigations, and clarifications.

  • Continuously monitor changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure clients remain compliant.

  • Mentor and guide junior tax professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation (or equivalent).

  • Professional qualifications such as CTIM, ACCA, or equivalent.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in tax advisory or compliance.

  • Strong technical knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations and frameworks.

  • Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills.

  • Proven ability to manage client portfolios and small teams effectively.

  • Proficient in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin (spoken and written).

What You’ll Enjoy

  • Work-life balance: Standard working hours (8:30am – 5:30pm) with flexible start time (7:00am – 9:30am).

  • No peak-season stress: Exposure to tax advisory and technical work without tight filing deadlines.

  • Professional growth: Opportunities to deepen technical expertise through research, discussion, and knowledge sharing.

If you are an experienced tax professional looking to elevate your advisory career in a dynamic and learning-focused environment, this role offers the ideal platform for you.
