Senior Backend Developer – Digital Banking (On-Site, Kuala Lumpur)

Salary: Up to RM14,000 basic per month

Location: Vertical Corporate Tower B, Kuala Lumpur

About the Role

A financial technology organization is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain backend systems supporting their Digital Banking platform. The role focuses on building scalable, secure, and high-performing banking solutions while providing L3 production support and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and integration layers for Digital Banking applications.
• Develop using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, XML, and SQL.
• Handle L3 support, troubleshoot complex production issues, and implement permanent fixes.
• Collaborate with front-end, QA, architecture, and business teams for end-to-end delivery.
• Ensure scalability, performance tuning, and compliance with security standards.
• Participate in Agile sprints and DevOps practices.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior developers.

Requirements

• Experience: 6–9 years in backend development.
• Mandatory Skills: Java, Spring, Spring Boot, XML, SQL Good-to-Have Skills: Camel (CXF), Spring Batch, JavaScript, JSP, Unix Scripting, WebLogic
• Portal Database: Oracle Operating Systems: HPUX, Linux, Solaris Additional Advantage: Exposure to DevOps, Agile methodologies, and management reporting
