IT Functional Manager

Company Background:

Our client is an established multinational FMCG manufacturer, and they are currently looking for an IT Application Manager to be based in Rawang, Selangor.

Job Summary:

Responsible for analyzing and improving business processes, ensuring that they meet the needs and objectives of the organization. This role involves gathering and documenting requirements, designing functional specifications, and collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver efficient and effective IT solutions, acting as a bridge between the business and technical teams, ensuring that both sides understand the requirements and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Requirement Gathering:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and objectives.
• Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to gather detailed requirements.
• Document and validate business requirements and processes.

2. Functional Specification Development:

• Translate business requirements into functional specifications.
• Create detailed documentation including use cases, process flows, and user stories.
• Ensure functional specifications align with business objectives and technical capabilities.

3. Solution Design and Implementation:

• Work with technical teams to design and implement solutions.
• Ensure that solutions are user-friendly, efficient, and meet the documented requirements.
• Participate in system testing and validation to ensure the solution meets business needs.

4. Stakeholder Communication:

• Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams.
• Communicate project progress, issues, and solutions effectively to all stakeholders.
• Provide training and support to end-users as needed.

5. Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices.
• Recommend and implement enhancements to existing systems and processes.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Sciences or IT
• Proven experience of 5 years minimum as an IT Functional Manager or similar role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in business process modeling
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Fluency in English and Chinese
• Extensive experience and transversal knowledge of different ERPs
• Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools.
• Experience in project management
• Experience in handling regional / global IT projects
• Solid understanding and exposure to IT infrastructure, strategies and programmes
