Job description:

Your tasks:

 Interface between our new production site in Malaysia and the related departments within our global organisation (R&D, Purchasing, quality, industrial engineering, production)

 Monitoring the introduction of new drawing parts (PCBAs, plastic parts, metal housings etc) at new suppliers located mainly but not exclusively in Malaysia

 Clarification of the qualification process for each component (supplier tests and reports, parts evaluation within R&D, organizing sample productions in one of our production sites, monitoring components release and – if required - securing change-over from existing supply chain to new supply chain)

 Responsible for the project plan within our project management system (Sciforma), tracking the project tasks and synchronising these tasks with the relevant stake holders, regular reporting about project progress and escalating project deviations to these stake holders

 1st technical contact between company and new suppliers, coordinating technical queries between supplier and R&D department, supporting production and industrial engineering in case of technical production or supplier issues

 Coordination of product changes for specific requirements, determination of activities and efforts with relevant departments, planning and monitoring change implementation, reporting to stakeholders involved.

 Supporting the data maintenance, product change management and workflows in our PLM system (keytech)

 Securing good communication between the involved persons (internal and external), moderating conflicts if needed

Job Requirements

 Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, or related field with product development background or equivalent

 More than 5 years of working experience in product development of a midsized company, preferably in (opto-)electronics environment with headquarters abroad, first experiences in project management within a decentralized global company

 Strong communication skills are required

 Experienced in project planning, product lifecycle management and documentation

 Strong knowledge in plastic material and injection moulding process is added advantage

 English language (C1) is mandatory, knowledge of the German language is preferable

 Ability to work independently in a changing, fast growing and multi-tasking environment

 Entrepreneur spirit and thinking, excited to be part of the pioneer set-up

 Leadership skills, proactive and result-oriented

 In-depth understanding of international work environment (German culture), work practices, high quality results plus products and standards
