Production Manager

Responsibilities

• Set up, establish, operate and lead the production in our new manufacturing facility for optical sensors
• Responsible for the production floor in day to day operation production schedule, job allocation, work force management and cost control
• Ensure that the finished output fulfills the quality standards within the production schedule time and targeted manufacturing costs
• Trouble shoot and solve all issues / challenges on the production shop floor, e.g. lack of capacity due to material, labor force or quality issues, manage production delays, downtime and related production issues and take decisions
• Continuously improve operations productivity and drive manufacturing cost reductions through review process flows, production schedules, improvement projects and engineering optimizations
• Full budget responsibility for the production – yearly budget and forecasting process as a basis for the capacity planning of labor and machines (direct headcount planning & machine invests) Prepare, monitor and take actions based on production KPI reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
• Cooperate with all internal interfaces and neighbour departments (Purchasing, Material Planning, Logistics, Quality, Industrial Engineering, Facility Management, Finance & Controlling and HR) as well as corporate functions from the Headquarters
• Ensure suitable training is provided to all production employees, especially to ensure an efficient onboarding training schedule for new employees
• Establish an efficient shop floor management process based on the corporate standards
