Job Responsibilities
Establish, set up, operate and manage quality management at our new optical sensor manufacturing facility in Melaka
Ensure compliance with internal and external quality-related specifications and standards
Responsibility for the continuous improvement process (CIP), the successful execution and conducting of customer and supplier audits
Responsible for complaint management (intercompany and external)
Preparation, tracking and internal reporting of the monthly KPI report and tracking of measures for improvement
Responsible for quality support of production in day-to-day operations (as part of daily shop-floor management) and for incoming goods inspection and supplier complaint management
Establish, implement, monitor and improve the quality management system for the Melaka production site (ISO9001+ISO14001)
Ensure successful product certification according to UL, TÜV and CSA
Participate in Leuze Global Quality Management structure with participation in international quality workshops
Full budget responsibility for the QM department - annual budget and forecasting process
Collaboration with all internal interfaces and neighboring departments (Production, Purchasing, Material Planning, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Facility Management, Finance & Controlling and HR) as well as corporate functions from headquarters
Job Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Electronics, Industrial Engineering or related field with quality/production/engineering background or equivalent
Evidence of 8 years or more working experience in QM in a manufacturing facility of a mid-sized company, preferably in (opto-)electronics environment with headquarters abroad
Ability to work independently in a changing, fast growing and multi-tasking environment
Entrepreneur spirit and thinking, excited to be part of the pioneer set-up Strong leadership skills, proactive and result-oriented
Hands-on to deal with a variety of tasks, comfortable starting as a single contributor
In-depth understanding of international work environment (German culture), work practices, high quality results plus products and standards
Quality management experience with quality tools - e.g.: AQL, 8D, SPC, FMEA, Six-Sigma, Lean Management in daily business
International travel willingness
Required languages: Bahasa Malaysia, English; Mandarin and/or German as a plus
