Job description:
Responsibilities - Observe and analyze the relevant procurement market
- Select appropriate suppliers and negotiate supply and quality assurance agreements
- Discover, qualify and develop new suppliers
- Benchmark potential new and existing suppliers in the relevant region
- Work closely with cross functional teams/Commodity Managers in the development of new suppliers (headquarters in Germany and China factory)
- Collaboration in cross-functional project teams for product development
- Continuously seek cost savings initiatives
- Monitor, coordinate supplier performance, vendor score cards for strategic & key suppliers
- Monitor and evaluate performance of employees, personnel requirements, selection, training and development of sourcing team
- Support internal and external audits
- Continuously work towards improvement through alternate supplier development, supplier consolidations as needed
- Full budget responsibility for the Purchasing department - annual budget and forecasting process
