Country Finance Manager

Job Purpose*

This position is responsible for :-

Finance operations (AP/AR/Treasury), controls & compliance, audit/risk management and helping to drive the business via (financial) data-driven analysis. The primary focus is to safeguard the company’s financial position and assets, while helping to drive business efficiency (billing, bad debts, legal entity structures, FX etc). The position reports to the Head of SEA Regional Finance, with a dotted line reporting to the Country MD of APLL Singapore & Malaysia.

Roles & Responsibilities*

This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Daily finance operations: Review customers’ credit worthiness, work closely with Global Shared Services team for AR collection, PO, AP and Invoicing.   
• Coordinate closely with Global Shared Services team for closing, BR, completion of controller package review and fixed asset verification.   
• Prepare annual budget, forecasts, and business plans (with local & Regional stakeholders). 
• Monthly reporting & closing (accurately and timely) in accordance to accounting standards, corporate financial / tax policies and POM/JSOX. 
• Periodic Management reporting: Provide true and insightful analysis on business performance to enable business decisions.
• Liaison with all relevant external parties: Auditors, Lawyers, Local Authorities, Banks, Key vendors, and Customers to meet both statutory requirements, and improve business efficiency/risk management.
• Engage in pro-active Risk management (or opportunities): Broadly this covers tax, FX, treasury, contracting/legal, audit controls, country policy/licensing changes etc.
• Other Business support: Contribute in client RFQ, financial modelling, and risk assessment for new projects.
• Provide support and assistance on the ah-hoc projects as assigned by Country MD of APLL Singapore & Malaysia.
