  1. Plans, manages, and coordinates all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of necessary RM, PM materials and supplies needed to meet the changing levels of product demand.
  2. Works with plant, warehouse, and logistics departments to determine and set up intercompany transfers.
  3. Drive production related budgets and savings for 3PM’s: Toll Fee & CEPs
  4. Drive opportunities for improvement and focused improvement projects to lower cost, lower waste and increase productivity
  5. Cascade and implement run strategies and projects to the production team.
  6. Visit the 3 P operations in Malaysia and Vietnam.
  7. Visit and collaborate with all suppliers of raw materials, packaging materials and finished products and ensure that all products meet the product specifications.
  8. Liaise with external laboratories for testing of physical, chemical and microbiological parameters and any other outsourced analysis.
  9. Work with the category and supply chain functions in development of new suppliers for products, supplier quality audits, raw material sampling requirements, storage, inventory control and norms for shipping and distribution of raw materials and finished products out of SE Asia origination.
  10. Communicate finished product attributes & quality systems with internal and external customers, creating an environment of continuing guarantee of all products on quality and food safety.
  11. Leads the implementation of quality systems to ensure adherence to product specifications, GMP’s, SSOPs and HACCP.
  12. Works with freight forwards and transportation companies to set best route and rate (reviews and approves all freight terms and agreements).
  13. Collaborates with procurement department to determine best practice for freight in and freight consolidation.
  14. Supports proper utilization of ERP system. Drive production related KPIs for 3RD party operation (Safety, Quality, OEE)
  15. Perform periodic audits at the distribution markets on recall systems, inventory control and benchmark products against competition products.
  16. Develop a training program to ensure that the QA technicians are trained and follow testing procedures and work with analytical equipment. 
  17. Involves extensive travels in Malaysia and other SE countries

Job Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma in Food Science/Technology 
  • Around 7-10 years of experience in a MNC dealing with a wide range(any) of products such as Coffee products, spreads, cereal bars, Biscuits and cookies, RTD products, Edible Nuts. Exposure to thermal processing and packaging development is preferred.
  • Fluency in Chinese, Malay is preferred.
  • Strong skills in food analysis in both chemical and microbiological analysis.
  • Experience in Food Safety, HACCP pre-requisite programs, SOPs & GMP in food manufacturing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
