We are representing our client a well-established MNC with headquartered in Japan that specializes in the manufacturing and assembly of photocopy machines. Our client is currently looking for a dedicated and results-oriented person for the position of Senior Executive – Environmental to be based in Ayer Keroh, Melaka.

Job responsibilities:

• Act as a change agent to nurture responsible business and sustainability culture helping to engineer, manage and implement the Group’s sustainability, sustainability vision, mission, strategy and transformation agenda.


• Develop, implement and review Policies as well as Sustainability Reporting Frameworks and Standards that support the Group’s Environmental objectives and strategies.


• Conduct internal training programs on matters related environmental issues and policies.


• Coordinate with all operating units to strive towards embedding environmental sustainability in organizational culture and in business operations.


• To carry out monitoring and auditing on all environmental issues.


• Ensure compliance to legal and other requirements, keeping up to date with changes in the environment legislation and other requirements.


• Perform periodic sampling and testing environmental pollution control and preparation of the report.


• Liaise closely with relevant departments in the compilation and verification of environmental data, and to present the info and findings in the Sustainability Report.


• Communicate sustainability initiatives or info to all employees to increase awareness and to strive towards mindset alignment.


• Conduct research on current Sustainability issues in order to stay abreast and be cognizant of new developments in sustainability-related policies, best practices and technology related to the environment.


• Establish a strong network and coordinate discussions with sustainability practitioners, professionals, consultants, government agencies and regulatory bodies, and parties on Sustainability matters, especially related to the environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum a Diploma/ Degree in Environmental or equivalent in related field.


• Minimum 5 years of working experience in construction industry.


• Competent person with CePSWaM or relevant certification certified by DOE and DOSH


• Computer literate and familiar with MS Office Application Software.
