Job description:
Job Responsibilities: - Lead the Malaysia payroll team on the full spectrum of payroll operations and vendor management.
- Ensure payroll is processed timely, accurately, and compliant with Malaysia’s labor regulation and company’s wage rule.
- Implements and maintains operational procedures to support and govern payroll operations.
- Define and review metrics to drive quality, effectiveness and efficiency in the service delivered.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, statutory compliances, internal/external controls, and SOX controls.
- Collaborate with Center of Excellences (COEs) and business stakeholders to deploy and maintain global programs in the region.
- Establish strategic partnerships with vendors to ensure quality and cost effectiveness in the service delivered.
- Responsible for the management, development, solutioning and continuous improvement for Payroll operational activities.
- Responsible for the development of internal and external communications for payroll related matters.
- Support internal, external and government audits.
- Drive team performance to improve effectiveness and efficiency in alignment to global strategic objectives.
- Support all aspects of performance management and development for payroll team.
Job Requirements: - Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Tax & Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resource Management or equivalent.
- Payroll experience with minimum 5-8 years and supervisory role of at least of 3-5 years.
- Solid understanding in local labour and taxation laws.
- Experience in payroll transformation projects and implementation.
- Experience in Workday, SAP Payroll and Service Now will be highly preferred.
- Candidate must be willing to work in Batu Kawan, Penang.
