Job Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team focused on the Malay market, ensuring high performance and alignment with company goals.
  • Foster a strong team culture, promoting motivation, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Recruit, provide training and coaching to enhance the team's capabilities.

2. Market Expansion & Business Growth:

  • Develop and implement strategies to increase market share and brand presence in the Malay community.
  • Identify opportunities for business growth, partnerships, and product positioning within the Malay market.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay ahead of industry trends.

3. Sales & Marketing Strategy:

  • Work closely with the marketing teams to develop targeted campaigns and promotions that resonate with Malay consumers.
  • Ensure marketing materials, messaging, and branding align with the cultural and linguistic preferences of the Malay audience.
  • Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies accordingly to achieve revenue targets.

4. Stakeholder & Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, distributors, and customers in the Malay market.
  • Represent the company in industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote brand visibility.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.

5. Operational & Financial Management:

  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance for the Malay market operations.
  • Ensure efficient resource allocation and cost-effectiveness in all business activities.
  • Oversee operational processes and address challenges to improve efficiency.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Proven leadership and managerial experience, with a strong background in retail targeting Malay consumers within a similar industry.
  • Strong understanding of Malay culture, consumer behavior, and business practices.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and team management skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic plans for market expansion.
  • Strong communication skills in Malay and English (both written and spoken).
  • Results-driven with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
