                                    Company background Our client is a leading manufacturer of secondary aluminium alloy ingots, operating in Malaysia. As a subsidiary of a well-established Japanese group, the company specializes in high-quality aluminium alloys for various industries. Currently, they are looking for a dynamic and result oriented candidate for the position of Purchasing Executive to be based in Bukit Raja, Klang. - Monday to Friday

 Responsibilities: - Coordinate requirements for postal, courier, lab services & make hotel, airlines and other booking.
 - Assist in general clerical and administrative duties including maintaining proper filing system to ensure traceability of documents.
 - Keep all business licenses and any other confidential documents in the proper manner.
 - Responsible for overseeing all the processes involved in acquiring all the products, materials, goods and services needed for efficient production and business operations, by negotiating the best or most cost-effective contracts and deals.
 - Ensure all procured items meet the required quality standards and ensure timely fulfilment of orders.
 - Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation in the system/software.
 - Monitor and evaluate suppliers’ performance, both goods and services periodically.
 - Coordinates with the Sales & Marketing AGM, Production AGM, and management to monitor inventory and determine scrap/raw material supply needs.
 - Responsible for verifying payment, invoices, miscellaneous claims and bills with suppliers, by working closely with the Finance Department.
 - Ensure effective use of resources and maintaining expenses are always kept at a healthy level.
 - Authorities: Depends on direct superior instruction.
 - To perform any other duties and/or tasks as per instructed by HOD/Management, from time to time.
 - Monitor impex operation by coordinating shipments, RMCD/SIRIM compliance, clearance, documentation, trade regulation with suppliers/forwarders.
 
 Requirements: - Minimum Diploma/Degree in related field.
 - Minimum 3-5 years of working experience in the manufacturing environment.
 - Good command of written and spoken English & Mandarin (Will be added advantage - as need to liaise with China suppliers)
 - Proficiency in using PC
