Job description:
Production Planning and Inventory Control
• Can standards and methodologies use in the planning and control of materials supply and inventory.
• Analyze immediate historical data into short term forecast projections using simple trends.
• Provides analysis of finished goods inventory and supply situations considering alternative solutions and
possible contingencies based on known precedents and prescribed guidelines.
• Anticipates warehousing, handling, and manning requirements needed by warehouse.
• Assesses plant capability against requirements - forward months (6 months).
• Generates the plant’s production and materials plan and reviews overall material requirements
planning.
• Computes for plant utilization and loading.
• Conducts analysis of material usage on plant – allocated forecast and recommend transfer of slow –
moving items.
• Conducts analysis of materials and supply situations, considering alternative solutions and possible
contingencies based on precedents and prescribed guidelines.
• Implements material inventory-related performance measures and can maneuver outcomes to achieve
standards.
• Creates material supply and inventory management plans that realistically consider varying situations,
contingencies and identifies issue implication and recommends feasible courses of action.
Supply Network and Production Planning
• Sets buffer target based on inventory levels classification, historical sales performance vs forecast.
• Defines finished good supply and inventory management plans that consider varying situation,
contingencies and recommend feasible and optimal courses of action
• Maximizes the use of forecasting and research models and techniques in optimizing inventories.
Warehouse Management
• Executes warehousing activities, functions/operations (e.g. space allocation, FIFO, lay out, materials
handling, housekeeping and legal requirements).
• Implements proper housekeeping and maintenance procedures to ensure quality in the materials /
goods while in storage.
• Conducts warehousing operations audit and provide recommendations that will improve operating
performance levels.
• Determines and assess warehousing configuration and requirements based on established standards
and guidelines.
• Analyses inventory reports and facilitate reordering and deliveries of materials/stocks.
• Performs inventory reconciliation to ensure correctness of records stock balances.
• Establishes reorder points (quantity and lead time) of materials, stocks to ensure supply.
• Ensures that the standard set specifications are being met to attain good quality product.
• Ensures compliance to established ISO / HACCP / Food Safety Management System
