Junior Controller

As a Junior Controller, you will be supporting matters relating to cost accounting, inventory control, cost centre master data act as an interface to company Financial Services and external auditors. In this role you will be reporting to the Operations Controller ASEAN.

Site Support

• Support Operations Management to achieve Site Targets and Budget

• Attendance and active participation in site operations meetings to stay informed of site activities and provide finance support/action where required

• Assist in the annual budget process for the site

• Perform a monthly review of the automated accrual proposals for costs related to IM&S for all the site’s cost centres

• Ensure proposed accruals are materially correct and appropriately booked

• Review all the sites contracts managed through SAP X-Apps

Inv entory Contro l

• Monitor and report on inventory control

• Ensure controls are properly operating and inventory balances are correctly stated for the site (both internal and external inventory)

• Analyse inventory movements

• Support the evaluation and analysis of slow moving and obsolete stock

• Evaluate and analyse discards/write-offs. Provide transparency on types of write-off transactions at the site

• Support forecasts of inventory and CDI

Cost An al ysis

• Manage annual and periodic requirements of costing activities and analysis of COGS

• Prepare detailed product costing analysis

• Analyse period costs and investigate issues

• Analyse PPV and highlight major changes

• Analyse process order variances and provide transparency on issues/concerns

• Ensure local standards are accurate when compared to actual costs

• Update standards where applicable to reduce variances

Financial Pe rforman ce Anal ysi s

• Analyse and coordinate activities associated with operations performance on site

• Prepare monthly KPI’s

• Prepare data for the site controller for the regular cost centre and investment reviews and follow -ups

• Supervise and ensure correct management accounting structure consisting of cost centre data, allocation keys and allocation process, contract set up

Financial An al ysis & Rep orting

• Support requirements associated with the month-end financial close

• Review balance sheet and P&L accounts that may require journal entries, accruals/reserves and reclassifications for the site operations

• Analyse the site P&L and identify variances vs. budget, last year and outlook.

• Support with BOFC input for monthly financial Group reporting

Inv estment Proc ess

• Works closely with site engineers, local management, regional controllers and local finance from the stage of evaluating capital proposals up until value realization

• Support planning and tracking of spending against the capital plan for the site for Sustain Capex.

• Coordinate periodic inventory of fixed assets for the site as required

• Ensure timely closure of investment projects and subsequent capitalisation of AUC for Sustain Capex.
