Position Summary:

The candidate will contribute within the Automation Team, providing coding support for Puppet migration activity, module generation and the delivery of new automation initiatives. In collaboration with application and infrastructure teams, the role-holder will onboard both legacy and new infrastructure into our IaC environment. There will be significant project work, involving new initiatives and new use cases for Puppet and actively engaged in surfacing new use cases for automation.

The candidate will also provide profile guidance, leadership and mentorship for new members in the team with respect to coding, infrastructure and CI/CD best practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather requirements and assess existing configuration mechanisms for applications, platforms and security.
• Contribute to Puppet module coding activity (Ruby) in order to bolster the team’s Puppet Infrastructure as Code capability.
• Support other ad-hoc duties been assigned.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree graduate in IT or Computer Science.
• Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in mainstream operating systems and platforms (Windows/Linux).
• Good Coding experience with awareness of CI/CD pipelines.
• Wide exposure to business applications and their typical architectures.
• Good knowledge on Windows PowerShell, Unix Shell Scripting, Ruby, Cloud (Azure/AWS/ESX).
• Good knowledge on Terraform, Ansible, Bamboo and Bitbucket.
• Experienced in leadership.
