Specialization: FINANCE GENERAL OR COST ACCOUNTING Job description: Job Descriptions: 1. Purpose of role: The Tax Specialist is an individual contributor. The incumbent is responsible for the overall tax compliance aspects for a group of legal entities assigned. He/She act as trusted business partner for Tax Accounting matters. He/She to ensure accurate and timely preparation of direct & indirect tax computation while adhering to policies and procedures, includes Target Operating Model (TOM), Service Level Agreement (SLA) & Internal Control Financial Reporting (ICFR). 2. Key Results / Accountabilities: Direct Tax: • Prepare accurate and timely tax reports, tax provision file and record the direct tax related adjustments. • Perform adequate analysis to ensure the accuracy of tax computation. • Review corporate tax returns and return to provision reconciliation. • Manage & coordinate any direct tax related work. • Provide Tax Accounting support to the stakeholders. • Understand, review and comply to ICFR requirement as defined in risk control matrix. • Back up for team members. • Liaise with internal/external stakeholders as and when necessary. Indirect Tax: • Review and submit indirect tax returns within filing deadlines. • Manage & coordinate any indirect tax related work. • Support any ad-hoc tax audit by local tax authority. Continuous Improvements: • Implement best practices and proactively identify, propose and implement continuous improvement opportunities in existing processes within the team. • Participate in continuous process improvement projects and plans roll out internally, region and global. Others: • Involve in managing transition activities with the Project Team. • Involve in ad hoc activities or project. • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Manager. 3. Qualifications & Experience and Competencies. Education and Experience: • A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field, and professional qualification (ACCA/CPA/MIA etc.). • Minimum of 3 years of experience in General Ledger operations. • Knowledge of statutory accounting and awareness of tax laws. • Shared service centre experience. • Experience in using ERP system.
