Company Background:


Our client is a fast growing renewable energy company, providing end-to-end EPC solutions, supporting the transition to clean and sustainable energy. They are currently looking for a CFO to be based in Selangor.


Role Overview:


A strategic partner to the CEO and the Board, responsible for long term financial health and sustainable growth of the company. He / She focuses on high-level capital structuring, investor relations and guiding the company through its expansion phase.


Key Responsibilities:


Strategic Financial Planning



  • Lead ROI-driven financial planning for solar projects, ensuring PPA and leasing models meet profitability targets prior to financing.

  • Own group-level budgeting and 3–5 year financial forecasting.


Capital Raising & Investor Relations



  • Lead debt and equity fundraising and serve as the primary liaison with banks, venture capital, and private equity investors, including data room management and funding negotiations.

  • Manage financial risk related to long-term contracts and large-scale liabilities, while optimizing corporate and tax structures for scalability and IPO readiness.


Risk Management & Corporate Governance



  • Oversee legal, compliance, and regulatory requirements across Malaysian and international jurisdictions.


Performance & ROI Optimization



  • Monitor project performance to ensure IRR targets are achieved throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Advise the CEO on M&A, market expansion, and strategic initiatives.

  • Drive finance digital transformation through advanced ERP and analytics systems.


Job Requirements & Competencies:



  • Professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA/CPA/ICAEW) and MIA membership is mandatory. An MBA is a plus.

  • Over 10 years in finance, with at least 5 years in a C-suite or Senior Director role. Proven experience in Capital Raising, IPOs, or Project Financing in the Energy or Infrastructure sector.

  • Ability to see beyond the balance sheet to identify market trends and opportunities.

  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and reporting to a Board of Directors.

  • Willing to work in Selangor.
