Key Responsibilities (summary):

• Partner with Maybank Group’s Risk team to ensure seamless project execution and provide strategic risk solutions.


• Oversee and evaluate technology operations.


• Formulate and implement IT policies and systems aligned with upper management strategy.


• Conduct business requirements analysis across departments to determine technology and risk needs.


• Identify and deploy optimal solutions, leveraging project management, market intelligence, and risk best practices.


• Serve as primary IT Risk contact supporting business functions.


• Monitor system performance, recommend improvements, and uphold SLAs.


• Lead and manage the IT Risk team to deliver on strategic and risk management objectives.

Minimum Qualifications / Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in fields such as Banking, Business, Finance, IT, or related disciplines.


• Strong experience in strategic planning, resource management, project delivery, and solution architecture.


• Hands-on experience with Tier-1 banking systems (e.g. IFRS9, ECL) preferred.


• Certifications in Program/Project Management, Agile/Scrum, ITIL; banking risk certifications are a plus.


• Excellent analytical, change-management, and multi-stakeholder engagement skills.


• Deep understanding of current banking risk trends, regulations, and compliance requirements.


• Ability to work independently with strong communication and leadership qualities.


• Proven experience in implementing/managing banking risk systems within financial institutions or complex organizations.
