Job description:
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Primary Responsibilities:
• Evaluate, configure, and deploy execution system software for controlling manufacturing processes.
• Design and develop data visualization and user input systems for manufacturing and related processes.
• Design and develop database structures and procedures to operate and maintain software systems.
• Supply manufacturing data and operation reports based on production data to strategic MES partners and support ongoing data collection operations.
• Develop software and database applications on a variety of platforms.
• Ensure good QA standards for software development.
• Manage system knowledge transitions to the opertaion team & Responsible for expert-level support on global applications for manufacturing and database systems.
• Travels to global manufacturing facilities to assist in project rollouts on an as needed basis.
• Perform troubleshooting and problem solving for issues related to application, manufacturing process data & system data and assist administrators (server admins, network admins, DB admins) in troubleshooting enterprise-level problems.
• Responsible for Incident/ Request management & Problem management & system downtime tracking and prevention.
• Work with IT/MES team to manage MES assets during system upgrades.
• Document recurring issues and present possible solutions.
• Interface with team members and stakeholders from other departments.
• Exercise effective communications levels and foster team building.
• Adhere to SDLC processes, standards, and compliance measures (SOx, etc.)
• Adhere to all safety procedures and good housekeeping standards.
• Perform other assignments as required.
Education & Experience:
• Master / Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent work
• 6+ years in either manufacturing systems or on software development teams using Microsoft .NET technologies
Required Skills:
• Demonstrated expertise with manufacturing software architecture and execution systems
• Strong C# development and solutions programming skills based on multi-tiered architecture using C#, XAML, ASP.NET and JavaScript.
• Proven Microsoft SQL Server design and development expertise
• Excellent understanding of enterprise data systems
• Knowledge of frameworks/systems (e.g. AngularJS, Git)
• Experience interfacing with Allen Bradley Logix PLCs and RSLinx software
• Experience in mobile development is a plus.
• Demonstrated success in integrating manufacturing hardware and 3rd party software systems
• Excellent understanding of computer operating systems and software applications.
• Proven Organizational and Project Managerial skills
• Global experience providing tier three support in manufacturing is a plus.
• Proven interpersonal communications, including the ability to drive projects with global team.
