Universe Pick

Role Summary We are hiring a Software Engineer to support and enhance our core legacy system built on Universe (UniVerse / UniData) database and Pick BASIC. This system runs critical business operations such as transactions, reporting, and core business processes.

Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain applications using Universe database and Pick BASIC • Support and enhance existing core business systems • Analyse business requirements and translate them into system solutions • Fix system issues, bugs, and data problems • Maintain and improve reports, files, and database structures • Work with business users during testing (UAT) and system changes • Prepare basic documentation and user guides • Ensure smooth deployment into production

Required Skills • Minimum 2-3 relevant working experience • Experience with Universe (UniVerse / UniData) • Experience with Pick BASIC programming • Experience supporting legacy or enterprise systems • Able to understand business processes and system workflows • Good problem-solving and communication skills

Nice to Have • Experience integrating legacy systems with modern platforms (APIs, web, ERP) • Background in banking, finance, logistics, or ERP systems
