Role Purpose:

The Chief Operations Officer (COO) is responsible for overseeing the Operations, and Technology functions to ensure efficient and effective service delivery across. This role involves strategic planning, delivery of services, implementation of innovative solutions, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. The COO will drive operational excellence, and technological advancements to enhance customer as well as distributors’ satisfaction and organizational productivity.

The COO is responsible for the day-to-day management of Operations (Claims, Underwriting, Certificate Servicing), Technology and Operations Strategy & Governance. This includes managing the company’s operating model, end-to-end processes and services (quality, turnaround times, etc.), and developing strategic options and proposals to guide future development, growth, and success. Together with colleagues in the executive committee and the heads of various departments, the COO will develop long-term blueprints for the respective domains, aiming to achieve best practice status on an international scale.

 

Requirements:

  • Academic Background in Commerce, Technology or Economics or equivalent ▪ Financial knowledge / qualifications
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience within the (preferably Takaful / Life) Insurance Industry at a senior management position
  • Background in Operations is preferred, able to initiate and drive simultaneously various Technology and business projects. Strong view on process and Technology development at a company level.
